DIY Skittles Sprinkles

Do you love Skittles so much that you want to sprinkle them on EVERYTHING?! Well, with this recipe I’m actually going to make that possible! I’m going to be showing you how to make sprinkles out of Skittles, and they taste JUST like Skittles. Before you know it, you’re going to be putting these on everything you bake. They’re dangerous. If you love Skittles check out my Skittles Rainbow Cake.

This recipe is SUPER easy to make, but does require some time in the oven. These sprinkles will hold for 1-4 MONTHS. Just make sure that they’re absolutely no moisture or any sticky remnants from the Skittles. That will help them hold longer.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to the lowest possible temperature.
Place Skittles in a food processor. Pulverize until candies are finely chopped.sprinkles-food-processor
  2. Transfer Skittle shavings to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.sprinkles-baking-sheet
  3. Place into the oven for 1-2 hours.
  4. Place the shavings through a sifter.skittles-strainer

So THIS is what they mean by tasting the rainbow! 🌈
